Tai Chi and Qigong
Qi is a vital health giving energy that is all around us and flows through us along a system of pathways known as meridians. Tai Chi and Qigong promote this flow of energy by unblocking and stimulating various acupoints throughout our bodies.

It harmonises the body and mind, promoting the natural flow of energy and improves health and personal development. Tai Chi poses flow smoothly from one into another throughout the form. It has also been found to improve cardiovascular, respiratory health. The slow rhythmic movements of Tai Chi reduce stress, build stamina and increase vitality. It also enhances the immune system and the circulatory, lymphatic and digestive functions.
Qigong is an ancient Chinese health care system that integrates physical postures, breathing techniques and focused intention. Qigong creates an awareness of, and influences, dimensions of our being that are not part of traditional exercise programmes. It brings together and emphasises the importance of being mindful, timing your breathing with physical movement. When these dimensions are added, the benefits of exercise increases exponentially.
